Hey. Hey. Happy New Year, It’s been a while!

In today’s post, I will be getting into how you can increase your productivity and level up your life in 2022! I’m always looking for new ways to level up my productivity, maybe I’m a little too obsessed. Throughout the past few years, I’ve really been loving podcasts that are able to teach me new ways to save time and get more done.

In 2021 I was finding my feet after a crazy 2020! I spent the year testing and trialling different time-saving tips and tricks that I’ve heard from entrepreneurs and professionals.

I LOVE organisation and productivity, I mean it is the reason why I started this blog! So, I hope you find the following 4 tips useful… let me know what you think in the comments ????

1. schedule everything.

Google Calendar is my baby. I’ve been using it for years, especially since I’ve been balancing uni with my side hustles. I can get a little ambitious with my time so scheduling is my best friend. If you’re a student, lawyer, doctor or even if you work from home, scheduling is essential.

I have A BUNCH of G cal posts that you’ve all been loving recently…

For me, I schedule every single hour of my day; call me a little obsessed but this is what works for me as of now. I schedule when I have my classes, work on eam.com, I even add when I eat and sleep! I highly suggest you give this a try and let me know how it works for you.

Have a little snoop of my calendar from the past week…

2. batch your time.

I got this tip from theskinnyconfidential podcast and I have been HOOKED ever since. It’s helped me stay focused and get more done in the day.

Essentially, time batching is grouping similar tasks together. For example, instead of answering emails multiple times a day which ultimately disrupts your workflow. Instead, set a specific time to reply to all of your emails so you can bang them out all in one go.

Another way you can time batch is by setting themes for each day. I’ve found this tip is more applicable if you’re a freelancer, student or work from home. For example…

Monday: Conference calls

Tuesday: Content creation

Wednesday: Admin and Email marketing

As a student, I set a couple of days designated to answering tutorials and other days going through pre-recorded lectures and reading through lecture slides.

3. fuel your mind and creativity.

Keeping my mind inspired is one of the best things that keeps me productive and motivated. Constantly, stretching your mind and hearing about new ideas or people’s stories not only fuels your mind but helps you grow!

Some ways I love to feel creative and inspired:

???? listen to podcasts

???? talk to people that you find inspiring

???? practise calligraphy

???? go for walks in a place I haven’t been to before

Before you open Instagram or TikTok and spend hours watching other people’s stories and posts, think about how many podcasts you could listen to in that time. A bet if you add up all your screen time throughout the year, you’d be shocked how much time we spend consuming content that doesn’t fuel you (I know I was!).

4. most importantly, prioritise you.

One thing that I try my best to prioritise every day is myself and my mental health. Towards the end of 2020, my mental health took a bit of a bad turn which I’m still working through. So, I’m being more conscious with scheduling me time and socialising with friends.

I’ve found that setting time to do at least one activity a day where I can unwind or move my body somehow has helped me so much. If you’re not sure where to start, I wrote a list of 25 self-care tasks you can start with!

And that’s it from me!
