These are hands down my blogging Holy grails! My blog would not be where it is without these tools and resources! If you want to start a blog or are looking for some recommendations, this list will be your go-to.
TOOLS & RESOURCES I USED TO GROW MY BLOG:
1. TAILWIND
This is hands down my #1 blogging recommendation!
Tailwind is the best Pinterest automation platform that allows you to schedule and post as many pins as you want to in a day without the need to go on Pinterest. 9 times out of 10 Pinterest is the number one way to market and get traffic to your blog quickly, so I believe it is a great investment!
Without Tailwind, I would not be able to schedule and post 30+ pins daily in advance! Now, I only need to go on Pinterest once a week, I just haven’t got the time or patience to manually pin every day.
Get 100 free pins with my link!
2. PINTEREST
I’m sure you’ve all heard of Pinterest!
Pinterest is usually where most bloggers get the majority of their site traffic. These are my analytics…
A few tips to help grow your Pinterest account:
- Join Group boards in your niche
- Pair with Tailwind to scehule your pins in advance
- Follow accounts in your niche
3. MAILCHIMP
Mailchimp is what I use for email marketing, landing pages and pop-ups!
I decided to go with Mailchimp because it seemed the least complicated for a new blogger and it is FREE, so I thought, why not? It has done the job, but I am definitely looking to upgrade to a paid plan (so I can schedule emails) or change to a different platform. I will keep you updated!
Here is an example of a graphic that I use to gain subscribers to my email list…
4. CANVA
Canva is a free graphic design website that allows you to create anything from logos to flyers. All of the graphics that you see on my site are created using Canva! The best part is that I am still on the free plan, so it is very possible to make a considerable amount of money from your blog, without spending a penny on graphics.
One of my favourite features that Canva offers is that you can personalise the dimensions of your graphics, I used its feature a lot when creating the graphics on my homepage.
And they have thousands of free stock photos to choose from!

5. LEGAL PAGES
Before you launch your site it is SO IMPORTANT to make sure your site is legal. When I was researching everything I needed to do before launching my blog, I heard that I needed these 3 pages if I didn’t want to get sued!
Initially, I was looking into free legal templates that I could use but they were all VERY confusing and I really didn’t want to take the risk of being fined.
After a lot and came across Amira, a Self Guru, a lawyer who has created so many resources for bloggers and business owners. Her prices are so reasonable, any legal page you may have seen on my site were purchased from her. Amira makes it so easy to personalise the legal pages for your business, which takes the pressure off.
Personally, I opted into buying the Legal Bundle!
I agree that this is not as fun and designing the site, but it is extremely important.
6. GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Google Analytics is an important tool that every blogger should use as soon as they launch their site. Not only are you able to track your progress, but you can also send brands your analytics to prove you are trustworthy when you are looking to monetise.
Growing a blog takes a lot of time, patience and perseverance. I’m going to share some of my analytics to show you to have a little faith and not to give up on yourself.
These were my analytics in my first month of blogging (July 2020)…
And these are my analytics from August 2021…
If it wasn’t for Google Analytics I wouldn’t be able to track my progress!
7. GRAMMERLY
Grammarly is your free online writing assistant which scans your text for grammar, punctuation and spelling mistakes.
I downloaded the plugin, so Grammarly could scan my blog posts as I am writing, highlighting any mistakes I made. As well as a free version, Grammarly offers a premium and business service too…
I have the free version and it does the job!
8. NOTION
Notion is productivity software that allows you to write notes, create databases, set- up calendars, reminders and so much more! The reason I love Notion so much is that is 100{c442fc8ef3789ed23df439e52609827a13bf4892a25a9bdf30f84ba71f479458} customisable and is a great creative outlet for me!
I’ve used Notion for over a year now, but I have only just started using it for organising my business and blog.
I hope to share some of my templates for you all to use soon, so keep an eye out!
9. IVORYMIX
As of recently, I get all of my stock photos from IvoryMix!
Did I mention that they offer HUNDREDS of free stock photos for you to choose from? You can use the stock photos within your blog posts as well as the background of your pins.
10. CONTENT CALENDAR
I would not be able to stay on track with posts if it wasn’t for my content calendar!
When I first started blogging, I was a little overwhelmed with all the tasks that I had to get done before releasing each blog post. So, in order to make my life a little easier, I came up with this epic content calendar.
I intend to give this content calendar a little bit of an upgrade and transfer it onto a notion template. I will be sure to send you guys a link when that is all up and running!
This post is about my top blogging tools and resources!

8. NOTION
