We made it!
Today I will be giving you an overview of what WE have accomplished since launching 6 months ago.
I will save all of my rambling for my life update…
So, I will be getting into:
- 2020 favourites
- Life update
- Site growth
- 2021 goals
2020 FAVOURITES
1. APPLE PENCIL
I bought the Apple pencil in March, and I had planned to use it at university. But due to the changes in the world… I couldn’t use it for long. However, I loved the flexibility of being able to handwrite my lecture notes and occasionally my to-do list digitally.
2. LAPTOP STAND
I’ve been seeing this laptop stand everywhere for years but I never saw the necessity. When I started my semester, I decided to finally take the plunge and buy one and I have not gone back since. The stand instantly helps you sit up straight, putting less strain on your neck and spine.
3. CLAW CLIP
I don’t know where my love for claw clips came from, it must have been around the beginning of spring. I love how chic they make any outfit look! My go-to has been the gold, but I also love the tortoiseshell and pastel ones!
4. SHOULDER BAG
Shoulder bags have been my go-to throw on bag throughout the year! There are so many variations that go with so many looks. I love love love them!
5. CANVA
Canva is the BEST website for EVERYONE. If you are a student, business owner, blogger or a beginner graphic designer, YOU NEED CANVA. Any graphic you see on my website was created using Canva! I use the free version right now, but I am hoping to invest in the premium version next year.
6. BLUE LIGHT GLASSES
I have raved about these blue light glasses so much over the past few months, so I had to include them in my 2020 favourites. I have been glued to my laptop over the past 6 months, and these have helped my eyes, not sting.
7. GOOGLE CALENDAR
I’m very aware, that I have written about my love for Google Calendar, time and time again. I mean I’ve written a whole post about it… If you haven’t set up your Google Calendar, now is your reminder to set it up before the new year. Google Calendar has helped me so much in time-blocking, especially during uni.
I didn’t think I would ever ditch a physical planner, but Google Calendar made me love the practicality of digital planning. It is still possible to do both digital and physical planning though, you can do whatever suits your lifestyle.
LIFE UPDATE
I honestly don’t know where to start…
I started 2020 like every other year, in church with my friends and family. It is so weird to me that I haven’t physically been to church since March! Having said that, I am so grateful to have made it to the end of 2020.
In 2020, so many were lost due to different circumstances and the news was so mentally draining. The BLM movement, forest fires, SARS, to name a few. I think we can all agree that 2020 has taught us to live in the moment and to be grateful for our friends and family.
Personally, 2020 has been a year of growth, I honestly don’t recognise myself from January.
Now, we will be getting into the goals I have for EAM, but I will include a few of my goals to give you guys some inspiration.
- Set boundaries: This was a big realisation I had this year, I really let some people walk all over me… it stops now xx
- Say “yes” more: I want to live my BEST LIFE next year!
Lastly, one of the many lessons that I learnt this year, is to give myself more credit. This is a reminder for you to do the same!
GROWTH
As soon as I started my blog, my biggest priority was growing my Pinterest. You may be wondering, why? Whilst researching the steps I had to take to start a blog, every blogger I came across mentioned Pinterest and how it was the prime way to get unique viewers to your site every day. Consequently, before I launched my blog, I invested in Tailwind, which is an automation service, allowing me to schedule 30-40 pins a day in advance.
This is my result in just my result from using Tailwind in less than 6 months!
I will be writing a whole post, about how to start a blog soon, but that will be coming later on next year. So, you can look forward to that…

2021 GOALS
1. HIT 1,000 SUBSCRIBERS
This is a big goal for me and I’m sceptical to include this. However, one of the many lessons I learnt this year from listening to podcasts is that you need to write your goals down on paper, and in this case, a blog post…
2. HIT 500,000 MONTHLY VIEWERS ON PINTEREST
This is also a big goal for me and I think I am a little crazy for writing this as a goal. But, “fake it to you make it”, right?
3. RELEASE PRODUCTS
I think it’s safe to say that the EAM shop needs a lot of work! This year, I want to create products to aid in your organisation. My posts are one thing, but I would love to give you things that you can physically apply to help you.
And that’s it!
2020 has been far from our expectations and sadly, we don’t know when life will go back to normal. However, I am still so grateful for everything that I have been able to accomplish in 2020. Yes, it has been an incredibly difficult year for me, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

So, you can look forward to that…
2020 TOP PINS
2021 GOALS
