Hey, guys!
How is it November already… Time is really flying by! This month has been crazy with the pace of university picking up A LOT. Also, in only a few months, Esseandmore.com is growing steadily which makes me so so happy.
Let me give you a little life update before we get into the October overview…
A LITTLE LIFE UPDATE…
To begin with what has really taken up the majority of my time, Uni. My course has really been kicking my butt. From weekly lab reports to endless tests, I have been going through it. Of course, I am grateful to be able to go to uni but it does get a lot about once a week.
Life is very weird right now, we are about to enter a second lockdown and the beginning of 2021 is looking very uncertain. My email and DMs are always open to anyone who wants to chat, rant, cry, anything xxxx
Now, back to regular programming.
In this overview we are going to be getting into:
- October favourites
- Posts released
- Instagram photos released
- Pinterest growth
- Site growth
- Goals for next month
- Roundup
Lets get into the October overview!
MY OCTOBER FAVOURITES
1. SHREDDY RESISTANCE BANDS
Since the beginning of the pandemic, I haven’t been back to the gym, so I have been doing home workouts for the past 7 months. I’ve had Shreddy resistance bands for so many years now but during the lockdown, they really kept me on track and helped make the home workouts more intense.
I love the Shreddy bands because they are made from fabric instead of the flimsy plastic ones. These resistance bands KILL like no other! I own both the short and long bands and they come in so many colours and strengths, I highly recommend.
2. SILK SCRUNCHIES
I’ve always been a scrunchie girl! Scrunchies are a lot more gentle on your hair, preventing hair breakage. When I moved back to Scotland for uni, I bought silk ones instead of the velvet scrunchies I had used previously.
I love them so much more! The silk is even more gentle on your hair. I got neutral ones instead and they blend so well in your hair.
3. WEEKDAY TURTLENECKS
I’m sure you’ve all noticed the sudden drop in the temperature, so all of the knits and turtlenecks have been brought out. They are hands down an A/W fashion staple. If you want to get your hands on them or are just curious about styling tips, I highly recommend you read my 29 A/W fashion must-haves 2020 post.
Personally, I think that weekday has the best turtlenecks because they are both affordable and extremely good quality. They’ve lasted me 2 years so far and they are still thriving!
4. GOOGLE KEEP
As you all know, I’m an organisation junkie! I mean, I have a whole blog designated to organising every aspect of your life… Whenever I find a new way to amp up my productivity and add to my organisation systems, I get so psyched. Google Keep is an app extension that you can get on your laptop, iPad and phone. Essentially, it is an app where you can write to-do lists, but there is so much more you can do with it.
Check out my post here, if you want to add Google Keep into your organisation system. Oh, and did I mention that you can connect your Google Keep to your Google Calendar! I know, am absolute GAME CHANGER…
5. VEGAN LEATHER NOTEBOOK
I use a notebook every single day in my life! They are the place where I write all of my weekly and daily to-do lists. I have just finished my old spiral notebook, so I thought it was time for an upgrade. I just added this softcover vegan leather notebook to my Do.dle (my business) and I am obsessed.
It is honestly one of the best notebooks I have used! The paper is super soft and thick, comes with cute ribbon bookmarks and it lays completely flat! It can be quite hard to find bounded notebooks that are able to lay completely flat but it makes it so easy to write.

ROUNDUP
October has definitely been a good month, in terms of reaching a lot of new people from all around the world. I’ve gained new subscribers to the site. Blogging is still very new and I am continuously learning every day! Juggling university, blogging and my business is not easy at all and gets me overwhelmed at times but I would not have it any other way.
I’m so excited to get started with Christmas and Black Friday content soon, as well as a lot more organisation posts!
I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you for always coming back to Esseandmore.com. It means so much to me! I can’t wait to see what November has in store for us.
And that’s it!
